Already put your faith in Christ?

Explore the Root Stage of Discipleship.

We suggest that you undergo baptism and confirmation if you haven’t already done so. We highly recommend that you complete all the Growth Steps in this Stage, as this would give you a very good foundation in all Five Facets that would be very beneficial for your future growth as a disciple of Christ.

Some of us may have been in church for many years and attended many courses and programmes before. We would still recommend that you have a look at the Root Stage of Discipleship to see if there are some Growth Steps not previously available to you, or which you would like to have deeper grounding.

Completed most or all of the Growth Steps in the Root Stage?

You are ready for or already in the Fruit Stage of Discipleship.

We suggest that you
• look at each of the Five Facets for this Stage,
• choose one or two Facets to deepen your discipleship in Christ for the next 6-12 months of your life and
• ask yourself which Facet you are least well developed in, or which Facet God is drawing your
attention to.

We encourage you to share your thoughts with your cell leader or another mature disciple for fellowship, godly counsel and prayer. Once you have decided which one or two Facets to focus on, follow through with the suggested Growth Steps with intentionality and faith, to see God work in your life!

You may repeat the process in 6 or 12 months’ time, and either continue pursuing the Growth Steps that take a longer time, or prayerfully select another Facet of the Fruit Stage to focus on developing in the next season of your Discipleship Journey.

Completed most or all of the Growth Steps of the Fruit Stage?

You are ready to explore the Flourishing Stage of Discipleship.

This stage is marked by perseverance in faith and sacrificial love for God and for others. It is also marked by modeling, guiding and encouraging others at the earlier Stages of Discipleship.

The Growth Steps at this Stage will take the form of personal reflection and deep sharing with other mature disciples at this stage on what it means to remain in Christ (John 15:4, 21:22). We grow more by journeying prayerfully with one another, and not just by attending programmes.
