- God’s word is a light and a lamp for our life’s path (Ps 119:105).
- Jesus is the eternal Word of Life (Jn 1:1; 1 Jn 1:1-4).
- Jesus himself was a keen learner of the Old Testament Scriptures which are part of the Word of God (Luke 2:46-47).
- The words of Jesus are spirit and life (Jn 6:63).
- The teaching of the apostles in the Scriptures is the foundation of faith in Christ (2 Tim 1:13-14). The Scriptures are able to make us wise for salvation and equipped for every good work (2 Tim 3:14-16).
